Purpose of the position
The ideal candidate must have the ability to develop, grow and be deeply involved in every aspect of the business, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring operational excellence and commercial success. This role requires a visionary leader who can redesign processes, develop a strong organizational structure, and drive business expansion with a high level of urgency. The CEO will be responsible for growing the client base, strengthening internal risk management processes, developing a strong team and positioning the firm as a leading financial services provider.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a robust business strategy focused on scaling operations and expanding the customer base.
• Lead business development efforts, actively seeking new markets and growth opportunities.
• Oversee the company’s strategic direction, aligning financial goals with sustainable business practices. - Lead, hire, and develop a team according to strategic needs.
Operational & Financial Management
- Optimize internal processes, ensuring operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Drive the adoption of technology to enhance service delivery and improve business scalability.
• Oversee financial performance, ensuring profitability and long-term sustainability.
Sales, Investments & Stakeholder Relations
- Lead commercial efforts to increase client acquisition and funding sources.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, regulators, and strategic partners.
• Represent the company at industry events, positioning it as a leader in financial services.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
- Strengthen internal risk assessment frameworks to safeguard the company’s financial stability.
- Conduct ISG (Information Security Governance) risk analyses to protect business operations.
Technological Development
- Lead the IT and development team to ensure the continuous development and implementation of innovative technological solutions that support SOFOM's operations.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in financial institutions, preferably in factoring, credit, or leasing.
- Experience in fintech or startup environments, demonstrating adaptability and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven experience in business development, process optimization, and organizational scaling.
- Strong expertise in risk management and ISG (Information Security Governance) analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead companies through high-growth phases, restructuring, and process improvement.
Knowledge and skills
- Technical knowledge in financial operations, strategic planning, and risk management.
- Strong understanding and commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English C1.
- Software: Familiarity with financial software and IT systems.

- Hands-on Leadership: Willingness to be deeply involved in operations and execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong track record in sales, client acquisition, and investment raising.

- Technological & Financial Expertise: Understanding of financial software, digital transformation, and market trends.
