E3 – Ecology, Economy, and Ethics is a Colombian advisory firm established in 2009 that supports public and private entities in integrating ecological, economic, and ethical principles into their planning and business strategies.
E3 designs innovative sectoral and territorial projects that promote climate action, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. Through participatory processes, E3 encourages collaboration between private and public actors to build new economies that benefit people, societies, and the planet.
E3 manages the Food and Land Use Coalition in Colombia. The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) is a self-governed coalition of organisations and individuals working collaboratively to achieve a shared objective: the urgent transformation of food and land use systems to deliver a better future for people, nature, and climate. FOLU supports science-based solutions and helps to build a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities to unlock collective, ambitious action.

Purpose of the Position
The Countries Action Team Coordinator for Latin America supports the coordination, alignment, and performance of the FOLU Brazil and Colombia platforms within the global FOLU framework.
This role bridges the country platforms with the Global Secretariat, ensuring smooth knowledge exchange, strategic alignment, and effective resource mobilization to amplify impact across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
Support FOLU Country Portfolio (50%):
• In your role in the Global secretariat, you will provide support to FOLU Country Directors in Brazil and Colombia to enable the successful delivery of planned activities
• Develop familiarity with the Brazil and Colombia country platforms, understanding their contexts, partners and work programs. This will require regular contact with country teams and frequent travel (at least one visit to Brazil a year)
• Work to resolve the operational and strategic challenges experienced by the country platforms – helping to problem solve and drive forward delivery
• Work closely with the Funds Management Team in the Global Secretariat to ensure timely disbursements, accurate forecasts and the appropriate allocation of resources. This includes ensuring complete reporting of country platform financials as needed
• Support the country platforms with their resource mobilization efforts when needed, working closely with FOLU’s Senior Development Manager
• Support the FOLU Brazil and FOLU Colombia country platforms in project delivery and reporting.
• In consultation with FOLU’s Countries Director, provide regular structured feedback to country platforms on their performance, identifying risks and proposing mitigatory measures
Support Resource Mobilization (30%)
• Support the country platforms to fundraise and mobilize resources by (1) reviewing and contributing to concept notes & proposals (2) working with the Global Secretariat’s senior development manager to identify upcoming opportunities and to build donor relationships and (3) working to improve the strategic framing and development of new fundable ideas.
• Support the country platforms to build long-term and deep relationships with existing donors that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
• Ensure countries are represented in global fundraising activities including the development of coalition-wide proposals and discussions with programmatic donors.
Bridge the global and country portfolios (20%):
• Ensure that country platforms are kept informed about the activities and priorities of global teams and vice versa. This includes working with the Global Secretariat's Knowledge Generation, Communications Team, Impact and Partnerships Teams.
• Participate in internal meetings and workshops to represent the country platforms where necessary – sharing their knowledge and advocating for their needs
• Ensure that country platforms provide complete and succinct narrative and strategic reporting – both for FOLU and donor purposes
• Promote lesson learning and dissemination by participating in FOLU’s communities of practice and inputting into relevant Global Secretariat products
• Working with other regional coordinators, lead the process for the design and organization of the annual FOLU learning event (previously called the Country Platform Council)
• Supporting the development and implementation of activities aimed at influencing regional food-related policy in Africa.
Contribute to the Countries Team Strategic Goals (10%):
• Contribute to other Countries Action Team activities including managing portfolio performance.
• Work with colleagues in the Countries Action Team to help the scale up and expansion of FOLU’s country platforms.
Requirements and competences to work with us
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies/Science, Agriculture, Food Systems, International Development, Economics, or a related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of full-time experience in sustainability, development, food systems, public policy or international cooperation.
- Experience supporting resource mobilization, donor-facing work or proposal development.
- Experience coordinating diverse stakeholders across sectors (government, academia, civil society, private sector).
- Experience in reporting, project follow-up and document management.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong writing and communication abilities in English and Spanish
- Portuguese is highly desired.
- Solid understanding of donor reporting and resource mobilization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with web-based project management systems.

This position is in the FOLU Countries Action team and will be hosted by E3 office in Bogotá.
The post is legally contracted through the E3 Office in Colombia, which provides pastoral care, day-to-day support, and workplace integration. The staff member will report administratively to the Director of E3 Colombia for operational and well-being matters.
