Peace Dividend Initiative (PDI) is a Swiss-based not-for-profit foundation dedicated to harnessing market forces for peace by enhancing economic dialogues and fostering new businesses in conflict-affected areas.
Working with leading mediators, we provide the link between peace negotiations and economic development through our Peace Impact Venture Builder. We aim to have a deep impact in the field with a strong local knowledge and by providing direct investment, expertise, networking, and empowering local leadership teams to turn business ideas into reality.

Purpose of the Position
At PDI we are looking for a Head of Incubation to lead our Incubation team. The Head of Incubation plays a key role in shaping our global incubation strategy as well as ensuring proper implementation on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing PDIʼs global incubation strategy.
- Leading PDIʼs team of global Venture Developers.
- Overseeing day-to-day incubation operations, including:
- Building a global portfolio and pipeline of projects in countries of operation and countries
under assessment and allocating resources accordingly.
- Supporting the team in developing project plans outlining objectives, timelines and
milestones.
- Working alongside the peace team to incorporate PDIʼs peace thesis across all projects.
- Leading project approval processes.
- Ensuring efficient tracking of projectsʼ progress against predefined metrics and milestones.
- Supporting PDIʼs fundraising efforts by developing incubation decks and reaching-out to potential donors in coordination with PDIʼs senior team.
- Managing expenses alongside PDIʼs finance team.
- Cultivating relationships with external partners such as investors, corporations, government agencies, and other institutions to identify potential collaborations, new project pipeline or donors.
Requirements and competences to work with us
Education
- Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Development, Emerging Markets Studies, Innovation and Technology, or Social Sciences with a focus on economic or business development.
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in business or similar field (entrepreneurial experience will be a plus).
- Experience in startup incubation, venture building, or working in accelerators will be highly valued.
- Experience working in emerging markets, conflict zones, or impact-driven initiatives is a strong advantage.
- Experience in fundraising, securing investment from private sector actors, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong background in financial modeling, business planning, and performance tracking (KPIs, impact measurement).
Knowledge and Skills
- Fluent Spanish and English (additional languages will be a plus).
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, including investors, NGOs, government agencies, and local entrepreneurs.
- Strong negotiation and partnership-building skills to foster collaboration across sectors.
- Expertise in project management, including developing and executing business strategies, with a strong understanding of KPIs and performance metrics to ensure data-driven decision-making, financial sustainability, scalability, and continuous project evaluation.
- Leadership Skills, including mentoring teams, conflict resolution, and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
